What happens when I submit my forecast? FAQs

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Once you've submitted a forecast, one of three things can happen depending on your organization's settings. This article explains what happens depending on how your organization is set up in Kluster.

Writeback to CRM is enabled.

This is what happens if your organization has the ability to edit your CRM directly from Kluster:

What happens to any opportunities I've changed (put into different forecast categories etc.)?

Those opportunities will have changed in your CRM to reflect this. e.g. If you've placed an opportunity into "Best Case" in Kluster, it will also be in "Best Case" in your CRM.

What do I see in my CRM/Kluster?

Anyone who views this opportunity, either in Kluster or in the CRM, will see it updated to the value you set it to, no matter where.

What does my team see in my CRM/Kluster?

No matter what lens someone looks at this opportunity from, whether it be yours or a team's, they will see the opportunity as you submitted it. You've changed the details of the opportunity, the same as if you had done it directly in your CRM.

Writeback to CRM is disabled and Lens rollup is enabled.

This is what happens if your organization doesn't allow editing directly in Kluster, but does have Lens rollup enabled, meaning changes made in one lens show across others.

What happens to any opportunities I've changed (put into different forecast categories etc.)?

Those opportunities will not have changed in your CRM to reflect this. e.g. If you've placed an opportunity into "Best Case" in Kluster, it will still be wherever it was before in your CRM.
